John Robertson is a Tai Chi Chuan instructor, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Karate and a Level IV Certified Advanced Instructor in Ki Gong. He has received training in the US and China.
A trip to China in 2002 ignited a fascination with the over 2000 year old practice of using Chinese Therapy Balls to improve hand dexterity, Carpal Tunnel, arthritis, circulation and so forth.
John also has an interest in acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology, Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the I-Ching. He believes the understanding of all these fields and more is crucial to effective and responsible practice of all forms of healing, martial arts and the use of the therapy balls.
The message he conveys to his students is one of healing and non-aggression. In other words, find peaceful, energetic ways to help heal the body, mind and spirit of those we interact with so that the use of self-defense techniques is only considered as a very last resort.
