ABOUT COACH NEAL
Neal Harris, Certified Pickleball Coach, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. He has practiced the art of psychotherapy for the past 34 years. He is also the managing director of Relax4Life, a holistic education and services center and has been a workshop leader in the holistic health and self-enrichment fields since 1985.
For the past 6 years, he’s been a passionate enthusiast of playing Pickleball and for the past 5 years, he’s been teaching both beginners and intermediate Pickleball players how to play the game better and smarter.
Neal’s playing style might best be termed as “soft”. This means that he doesn’t try to overpower his opponents with fast, hard shots (anyone can learn to hit the ball hard). Rather, he strives to place the ball where his opponents are not or hit it to places on the court that make it more difficult for them to return the ball effectively. It is a game of strategy and patience, keeping the ball in play and waiting for his opponents to make a mistake. It is this thinking-person’s style that makes him a sought-after partner in both recreational and competitive play.
