Over several thousand years, the Chinese have developed a system of meridian hand techniques (using the acupuncture meridians) that stimulate and protect the hands and wrists from injury. You will explore and practice 4 different activities that activate the meridian energy through the hands: finger folds, finger splits, Chinese Health Balls and Chinese Acupressure Rings. These meridian hand techniques not only help keep your dexterity and hand strength but they also stimulate and help protect your brain from such conditions as senility, Alzheimer’s etc. A great way to honor and celebrate the Chinese New Year!
- Class begins promptly at 7:00p. Be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early for check in.

John Robertson is a Tai Chi Chuan instructor, holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Karate and is a Level IV Certified Advanced Instructor in Qigong (Ki Gong). He has received training in both the US and China.
John also has an interest in acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology, Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the I-Ching. He believes the understanding of all these fields and more is crucial to effective and responsible practice of all forms of healing and martial arts.
The message he conveys to his students is one of healing and non-aggression. In other words, find peaceful, energetic ways to help heal the body, mind and spirit of those we interact with so that the use of self-defense techniques is only considered as a very last resort.
