Over several thousand years, the Chinese have developed a system of meridian hand techniques (using the acupuncture meridians) that stimulate and protect the hands and wrists from injury. You will explore and practice 4 different activities that activate the meridian energy through the hands: finger folds, finger splits, Chinese Health Balls and Chinese Acupressure Rings. These meridian hand techniques not only help keep your dexterity and hand strength but they also stimulate and help protect your brain from such conditions as senility, Alzheimer’s etc. A great way to honor and celebrate the Chinese New Year!

John Robertson is a Tai Chi Chuan instructor, holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do Karate and is a Level IV Certified Advanced Instructor in Qigong (Ki Gong). He has received training in both the US and China.
John also has an interest in acupuncture, acupressure, reflexology, Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the I-Ching. He believes the understanding of all these fields and more is crucial to effective and responsible practice of all forms of healing and martial arts.
The message he conveys to his students is one of healing and non-aggression. In other words, find peaceful, energetic ways to help heal the body, mind and spirit of those we interact with so that the use of self-defense techniques is only considered as a very last resort.
What Students Say About Meridian Hand Techniques:
“Thank you for the extra gifts you provided with the Meridian Hand Techniques (and the Chinese Health Balls) class. I’ve been joyfully practicing with the sets since the first introduction last month. Your Relax4 Life program continues to be a wonderful environment and learning destination for me with the added bonus of filling some of my MT credit requirements. Also, I drive away after each session feeling fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet, interact with, and be enriched by the other participants. Until next time.” Lynn Hermany
